Watersports
Cemaes nestles between Wylfa Head and Llanbadrig Point, in a sheltered bay ideal for pottering about in a dinghy or kayak. The more adventurous can explore the Anglesey coast, take a trip to Puffin Island, or even pop over to the Isle of Man.
There are free slipways on Traeth Bach (Little Beach) and at the far end of Traeth Mawr (Big Beach) that allow small craft to be launched and recovered for free.
Sailing
Potter within the shelter of the bay in a dinghy, explore the local coastline or take off for a trip across to the Isle of Man. Cemaes is a great base for sailing, whatever the size of your boat.

Kayaking and SUP
From a gentle paddle about exploring the rocks within the bay to a more strenuous paddle out to Middle Mouse, Cemaes is an excellent base for kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. Kayak and SUP hire is available from the Traeth Mawr Far Car Park from Cemaes Bay Kayak and SUP Hire. Please be careful of off-shore winds.
Power Boats and Jet Skis
Responsible power boat and jet ski owners are welcome in Cemaes but please be aware of the swimmers and unpowered small boat users and stick to the 8 knot speed limit within the bay.
